New module: Password Protection for activities

As an organiser, there are times when you don't want everyone to simply sign up for an activity. Think of private events, member-only sessions, or training courses intended for a specific audience. With the new Password Protection module in Payit, you now have full control over who can register.

How does it work?

You choose how to manage access. The module offers two modes:

1. A single shared password

Set one password for your activity and share it with the right people. Visitors who land on your activity page will first see an entry screen. Only after entering the correct password can they view the activity and register.

2. Unique access codes (list mode)

Want even more control? Switch to list mode and generate or import unique access codes. Each code can only be used once and is automatically linked to the registration. Perfect for:

• Early bird promotions where you send out vouchers
• Member activities where each member receives their own code
• Exclusive events with numbered invitations

Full management from your dashboard

From your activity page in Payit, manage everything in one place:

• Switch between a single password and unique codes
• Automatically generate codes or import them via Excel
• See which codes have already been used and when
• Delete or reset the protection at any time

Why is this useful?

An activity page on Payit is always publicly accessible via a link. With the Password Protection module, you can still share that link widely without receiving unwanted registrations. You decide who actually gets access.

The module is available to all Payit users and can be easily activated via the Modules tab of your activity.
