At Payit, we don't sit still. Over the past few months we launched a whole range of new features, and the rest of 2026 is looking just as busy. In this article we give you an overview of the most important updates and a look at our roadmap. Want to follow everything in detail? From now on you can, via our release notes and roadmap pages.
The Payit app is here! Since 1 July, you'll find the Payit app in the App Store and Google Play Store. Use it to scan entry tickets for your event, scan out products during a sale with pickup, and check the registrations for your activities. And this is only the beginning: the app will gain plenty more features in the coming months.
All Payit modules are now free. We're making Payit simpler and fairer. From now on you activate every module without a one-off cost. We only charge a small fee per use (€ 0.25) for ticket sales, tax certificates and the pickup list. That way you never pay for something you don't use.
Sell smarter. You can now group products with product groups, set discount codes at product level, and rearrange products and form fields with simple drag-and-drop. Handy when your activity has multiple products.
Your bookkeeping flows through automatically. Payit now connects with Exact Online and Billit. When a payment comes in, we automatically create an invoice in your accounting package, including VAT rates, discounts and transaction fees.
And more: our AI assistant 'Botje' answers your questions on the platform, you log in with one click via Google, you secure activities with a password or unique (member) codes, and you can also create tax certificates (281.71 and 281.86) manually for donations made by bank transfer.
September: templates and a fresher activity page. We're adding activity templates tailored to your organisation. Are you a school? Then you'll get templates for a school party or a pancake sale, for example. Duplicate, fill in your details, done. Your activity page also gets a new look: a revamped webshop layout, multiple photos per product, a customisable order for required fields, and an extra step where the visitor picks their payment method. Stripe onboarding is coming straight into Payit too, so you only need one platform to keep your details up to date. And with the seating plan you sell tickets with assigned seats: your visitors pick their spot, you scan them in effortlessly via the app.
October: more control. The 'payouts' dashboard is being revamped, and you'll be able to add participants to your activity manually. Ideal for sponsors who get a free ticket, or staff members you want to add to the participant list without them having to go through the ordering flow.
November: get started faster. We're reworking the registration page so new customers can get going more quickly.
December: the big bang. We can't give too much away yet, but the Payit platform as you know it today? Gone are the days. From December you'll manage your activities in a brand new platform. Nothing changes about the way you work, but we promise you: this is going to be EPIC. On top of that we're launching MyPayit: a platform for your visitors, where they find all their tickets and registration confirmations in one overview. No more digging through your mailbox at the entrance to the event.
From now on you won't miss a single update:
