Frequently asked questions about Payit?

The module offers two modes. In "Single password" mode, you set one shared password that all visitors can use to unlock the activity. This password can be used an unlimited number of times. In "Password list" mode, you work with unique single-use codes: each code can only be used once for one purchase. After use, the code is marked as used and is no longer valid. This gives you complete control over who gets access.

The password list is ideal when you want to give each participant a personal access code that can only be used once. Think of member activities where you send a list of membership numbers or personal codes in advance, VIP sales with exclusive invitation codes, or events where you want to track exactly who registered via which code. After each purchase, the code is automatically linked to the registration, so you always have a perfect track & trace.

You have three ways to add codes. Via "Import" you upload an Excel file with one code per row in the first column — ideal for large lists. Via "Generate" you let Payit automatically create random unique codes; you choose the number yourself. Via "Add password" you manually enter one specific code. All codes are immediately visible in the table, including their status (available or used) and who used them.

In the password list overview, you can see for each code the status (available or used), the time the code was used, and a direct link to the registration of the person who entered the code. This way you always have a complete picture of who got access via which code. A code can never be used twice: after a successful purchase, the session is automatically cleared, so a new visitor or new purchase always requires a valid code.
